Only what a frame needs

No fiddly setup. Leave it on and it keeps going.

Free

Everything a frame needs, working the moment you install it.

New photos picked up live

Anything you upload while the slideshow runs is added automatically, with a banner to tell you.

Premium features

Premium

For keeping the frame running longer, and looking better.

Remove the watermark

The AutoFrame watermark disappears from the slideshow. Nothing but the photo.

People & events

Register birthdays and event dates, and each photo shows the age at capture plus the time elapsed today.

Protect photos

Mark the ones that matter as protected and they're excluded from auto-clean and bulk delete.

Quick storage cleanup

Keep only the most recent N items, or auto-remove the oldest once usage passes your threshold.

Slideshow settings

Tune the transition interval and whether overlay text appears — and how large it is.

Three steps, that's it

Five minutes after installing, there's a frame in your living room.

  1. 1

Sign in with a shared account

Use a Google account dedicated to the family frame. No account yet? You can create one straight from the app.

  2. 2

    Upload photos and tag them

Send up a batch from your gallery. Register people and events once, and ages and counters are calculated for you.

  3. 3

Start the slideshow and prop it up

One tap on Slideshow. Set the spare tablet on a stand and the family frame is done.

Pricing

Try it free, upgrade when you like it.

On the free plan the slideshow shows a watermark and the Premium features above stay locked. Payment is handled by Google Play, and purchases can be restored in the app. Prices are subject to change.

Frequently asked

Where are my photos stored?

In your own Google Drive. AutoFrame is a frame that shows photos — it is not a backup service and does not take responsibility for storing them. Keep your originals elsewhere.

Does it play videos?

Yes. In the slideshow a video plays to the end before the next item, and you can toggle mute while it plays.

How is the age on a photo calculated?

It compares the person's date of birth with the photo's capture date to show the age at capture, alongside their age today. Events work the same way for elapsed time. People and events are a Premium feature.

What if my Drive fills up?

The usage gauge shows where you stand, and you can select and delete photos yourself. Keeping only the most recent N and threshold-based auto-clean are Premium features. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Is it safe to leave running all day?

There's a keep-screen-awake option, and the app explains how to exempt itself from battery optimization for long runs. Keeping it plugged in is recommended.

Which devices are supported?

Android phones, tablets and foldables. The grid adds columns automatically as the window gets wider.
